We are often in Newcastleton as we consider it being our second home, and your hotel is our "local" as we always receive a friendly smile, together with the cooked as you order meals with our drinks. No fast food here .. brilliant!! Thank you to everyone at the Grapes. We will be back. Just visit our website .. www.bonchesterbrass.com Cheers, from myself and all my band colleagues from areas as far as Northumberland, Kelso, St.Boswells and of course Bonchester Bridge, Christine Wiegold, Band Secretary.

While researching our family roots I discovered that my great, great grandfather used to own the Grapes Hotel in the late 1800s. His name was Robert Wilson. he had many daughters who also worked there. Robert Wilson was married to Scott Pattison (yes that is her first name!) I plan a trip to Scotland next summer to trace my family heritage. Feel free to contact me at the email bnelson8@nc.rr.com if you know any of my family history.Thank you, Barbara Nelson

We came to mountain bike in the area. Bike storage was no problem, breakfasts set us up for the day and the evening meal was fantastic. Great staff. Thanks!

We were married in the Grapes Hotel on Saturday 19th June and would like to let everyone know what a fantastic day we had. All the staff worked really hard to make this the perfect day for us. Trevor and Glynis transormed the rooms where the marriage ceremony and the reception were held and they looked truly stunning ! Thank you so much - we will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who is thinking of getting married here.

Hello Glynis and Trevor,
We wish to thank you for your hospitality during our visit to Newcastleton last month. We were very impressed with the modifications you have made to The Grapes, but you and your staff made our visit the most pleasurable. We look forward to our next return, perhaps for the 2013 Elliot Gathering. In the meantime, give our best wishes to all.
Slainte,
C & D Elliott
